REK is one of my all times, if not my absolute favorite musician. My uncle introduced me to his music probably 30 years ago. I’ve seen him in my hometown/around Texas maybe 20+ times. His music was an unofficial soundtrack of sorts to my life. Anyway..

Trent Reznor warned us about this in the song head like a spin hole.
The time is growing shorter, The nights are long and cold. Come on, baby, spend the night with me.

At some point, you’ll have to be adamant about it.
If they can’t take no for an answer, you’ll have to just quit talking to them.
Religious haranguing is the absolute worst.
Thieves! Liar! Inside, outside, which side, we don’t know. Another banger that sounds best at full volume.
>Never trust a junkie. Another fuckin banger off of The Way To Succeed and The Way To Suck Eggs.
>Soon I’d discovered that this rock thing was true. Jerry Lee Lewis was the devil, and Jesus was an architect, previous to his career as a prophet. All of a sudden I found myself in love with the world. So there was only one thing I could do, Was dingadingdang, my dangalonglinglong. This song should be played at maximum volume on whatever listening device you own. I insist.
I understand just a little. No comprende. It’s a riddle.
The moon. Beautiful. The sun. Even more beautiful. Oh yeah.

Mullvad is the only one worth it IMO.
>I’m wild as a turkey, higher than a Christmas moon, Empty as my wallet on a Sunday afternoon. I come around too fast, and I always leave too soon. Ain’t that what they all say? I really like listening to a good flat picker. The man who picks on this album is named Al Perkins. He plays lap/console steel, guitar, banjo, and the dobro. He is very well known for dobro. He has played for/with Dolly Parton, Bob Dylan, Tori Amos, John Denver, The Rolling Stones, CSN and sometimes Y, and a whole fucking heap of artists. The man is a monster on stringed instruments and deserves his own post as it is and not just an off handed note. Anyway thanks for coming to my Perkins Talk.

Hell yeah.
I did those and the local ButterKrust bakery sponsored some plain Jane brown ones that had their name on the back at the bottom in small letters. I was super cool so I scratched out the ‘er’ so mine just said Butt Krust.
I can’t get to sleep, I think about the implications. Of diving in too deep, And possibly the complications.
Listened to VGS a bunch when I used to vert skate. Awesome ska band
LR’s first single and likely his most popular song.

>I sing em real pretty, I sing em real sad. All the people in the crowd say ‘he ain’t half bad’. They call me King Turd up here on Shit Mountain. If you want it, you can have the crown. Sturgill features pretty heavily on my playlist. I think he ‘retired’ of sorts. He says he intended to put out five albums, following a sort of path. Ballad of Juanita and Dood was number five. I think he is now putting out record under the name ‘Johnny Blueskies’, if anyone is a Sturgil fan.

The Master of Space and Time, folks. My mom played some LR for me when I was little, I’ve been a fan of his for probably 35 years or more. Absolute piano master, and a voice like nobody else. Elton John’s favorite musician, and Jackson Browne’s favorite song.

this post is Ohio. This post is brat summer. This post is demure. dop dop yes yes.
Just give me money. 1979 cover of Barrett Strongs hit song.
This song is from 1995-98. The song borrowed a horn sample from a 1930s song called My Woman, by a band called Lew Stone and the Monseigneur Band. Apparently a new-ish Dua Lipa song sounds similar but I dunno which song, I don’t think I know what Dua Lipa sounds like. Apologies for the bands name, it can come across as a bit off putting I reckon.
>I hate myself and it’s all your fault. I hate myself and I oughta not, I hate myself it’s so sad but true, Cuz I hate myself while I should be hating you. The song is sung by Bobby Bare Jr, who is the son of Bobby Bare Sr, the country music star. It’s written by Shel Silverstein, a couple years before he passed away. Silverstein was a pretty prolific writer with something like 800 songs registered with BMI. Silverstein wrote songs that dozens of artists covered and made hits, along with Bare Jr’s father, who recorded a whole album of Silverstein’s songs.
