I doubt it's some kind of 400IQ play, but it is weird that this has apparently been the case for about a year and no one has said anything about it until today.

I saw so many people in the reddit thread acting like it was a really ironic thing that Palestinian IPs were getting blocked too, as if the point of doing this was to help Palestinians somehow? Also, in the gamer mind being blocked from the hate speech live porn platform is comparable to being burned alive apparently.

it's funny how catholics since birth don't take it all that seriously and tend to be more progressive (or at least, less reactionary) while converts are all tryhard chuds.
Your mileage may seriously vary on this, especially when considering latam. In Latam, Evangelicals soak up the bulk of the chuds who convert just because they're too fascist not to be Christian. Catholic converts come in all shapes and sizes instead. Meanwhile, cradle Catholics just tend to overlap a ton with the most reactionary demographics, a lot of white middle class people. I can't speak on how this maps to indigenous people in Latam since I don't know any and I don't live in a country with a big indigenous community.

It's weird, he seems to be playing both sides atm. When he compared you to nuclear weapons ( ) he meant that the proliferation of "gender ideology" is an existential threat. It's the same logic that a lot of TERFs use, part of the gender critical movement's mythology. But he seems to believe that some halfway point between what trans people are asking for and the status quo is the correct position and he's just kind of slowly moving towards it?
I do also get the impression that he's struggling a bit due to his hands being tied to what JP2 put down in Humanae Vitae. He can't exactly revoke it, he'd probably cause a schism. Yet it does seem he wants to move away from it.
If anything, the Catholic Church in the 21st century is a pretty interesting case study on the limits of gradualism and reform. More than what I originally expected could change has already changed. But there's so many, like really quite a lot, of things I don't think are even on the horizon and are gonna cost the Church a lot in this century. We'll see.

I mean, I'm certainly very far from pro-Ukraine, but I definitely think Russia is far better equipped to handle whatever NATO throws at it than Gaza. I've been saying since Oct 7 that every dollar Zelensky grifts is a dollar that doesn't go to the genocide and is thefore a dollar I support being wasted to slow down Russia's inevitable victory. I still hope every single factory that is making bombs for Ukronazis or Zionazis goes up in flames at the earliest convenience, of course.

Yeah I guess I feel a similar way tbh, I'm perfectly comfortable with taking masculinity and keeping the bits I like while discarding the toxic crap so I feel solidly cis. But at the same time, if someone theys me I don't mind, I know a few people that use they/them as the default for everyone and I can kinda get behind that (so long as it's corrected for those who don't wish to use they/them pronouns of course).

70% of their industrial capacity was destroyed in Barbarossa. In terms of morale I definitely agree, but you can't fight a war on morale alone. Thankfully that applies to both sides so the Western side still could not have possibly made that work without using nuclear weapons.

Yeah I mean, Stalin did stop at Berlin because there wasn't much steam left to keep going after Berlin, but the idea that the Western Allies could keep going in the same situation is completely laughable.

Assuming that its accomplishments include moving manufacturing back into the US and securing the border, what good could come of a populist movement? The interests of the American labor aristocracy would just be consolidated with Imperialism to an even greater extent, and any conflict against China would see no resistance from organized labor because of the incestuous relation of the MIC and organized labor. Any anti-war movement would have no power at all, there would be no positive argument for stopping the conflict when it keeps everyone employed as contrast to the current state of unemployment and precarious work. Potential benefits include the cessation of the export of capital, less capacity for the US to project power across the world, and less state repression of anti-imperialist movements. But I can't help but think that if the US pulled its production out of Asia, South America, Africa, and the Pacific, it would redo Gladio/Bloodstone to prop up fascists to hold down anti-imperialist movements, or create a dozen Israels to keep a way to quickly kill nascent revolutions. Am I wrong?
