finished baby blessing card

spent more time than I want to admit this weekend working on a shape cutout thing for the illustrations and fucking _**hated**_ the results, so I ended up just searching up images and then combining and editing things that I liked here's the final product. I've included the PNGs I printed from in case you liked the blessing and you're the kind of person who would give a homemade card, too. mine is printed on toned cardstock; trimmed card dimensions are 4.5x12" printed, 4.5"x6" folded.     

generic Adderall is back in stock at my pharmacy 🎉 was really starting to worry they weren't going to get more until next calendar year or whenever the annual quotas reset or whatever, but I got both 30 mg xr for me and 20 mg xr for my son  so, check yours, it might be back for you, too  also, the one tech at my pharmacy that has _never_ once been anything but barely civil with me was finally nice to me this week, which has given me another little data point that affirms my impression that pharmacy staff treats me better after having bought the name brand.  **have you had that experience?** the same thing happened at two other chains: there would always be a couple people on staff who were a little gruff with me in a way they weren't with other people in line ahead of me, until the day I bought name brand from them.  (a third place treated me so poorly after they pulled my info up in the computer the very first time I went that I cried on the way home and never went back.  ) my suspicion is that they're generally skeptical of anyone getting stimulants, but if I'm "willing" to pay a couple hundred per prescription per month for it, then I become less sketchy because obviously I and my kid "really need it."  it's possible that they just suddenly see me as pitiable; I'm sure my voice and face change drastically in the seconds after they tell me the generic isn't available.  or maybe I seem less likely to sell it if I can "afford" hundreds of dollars for the name brand. nevermind the actual situation, which is that I'm only able to "afford" it or "willing" to pay that because I can beg my family for help, and there are plenty of people **(who need it to have any executive function just as much as my kid and I do!)** who just _**Do Not Have That Option.**_  when this happens to me, it makes me wonder how they treated everyone who couldn't afford the name brand. are they even more suspicious of them now?  I don't have a better theory for their line of thinking, and surprise surprise, the logic doesn't even hold up, imo. I could even see someone being _more_ tempted to sell a couple day-off doses to recoup some of those hundreds they spent on the name brand – you do occasionally need to eat, after all.   thank you, Puritanical Culture and War on Drugs

my son's cat, Ruby

she's tiny but she's almost 2.5 years old, just a very very petite kitty she's named Ruby because she was born in July, we got her from the farm we were doing CSA with that year she's very snuggly and curious, she loves to climb inappropriate things like curtains and screen doors and take long naps with my son, curled up on his back ❤️ right now she's pestering me while I try to clean in the basement, lmk if you have anything you'd like to say to her and I'll pass it along

anybody else engaging in this bizarre behavior I can't let go of? it takes me a month to go through a pack these days, even giving them away, because I'm one of those lucky freaks who can just smoke one here and there and not be interested in one day to day but I'm still flipping the front middle one over every time I open a new pack maybe (probably!) you don't do lucky cigs – what're you doing that's a ridiculous holdover from forever ago?

what're you choking down when you _have_ to eat something to keep the pills down, and you _have_ to take the pills I tried taking doxycycline on an empty stomach yesterday and boy howdy, was that a bad decision – great ab workout though 😂🤢 last night, my new morning plan had been to have my Adderall when I wake up, some yogurt 2 hours later, then 2 hours later have toast and hummus or something with the doxycycline great plan, except I don't usually eat this early, and I couldn't even get through half a cup of yogurt, which has been a lifelong safe food that I really really reeeeeally don't want to be put off maybe skip the yogurt step and just shove a piece of bread down my throat? I already have a weird relationship with bread, I'm fine with being put off it for a while after this on a totally unrelated note, you should definitely always wear bug repellent and check yourself for ticks when you come inside for the day

cw: self-harm ::: spoiler American medical system bitching and self-harm $50/month medication takes the "overwhelming urge to unalive" days per month from 15/30 to 5/30 unfortunately, finding a way to deal with those last crucial 5 days is proving difficult feel free to make suggestions if you have them, unless they're diet and exercise and mindfulness, which I assure you are primary occupations and were locked in before I started spending +$50/mo on medication :::  just feeling so utterly hollowed out and trying to type instead of plot if I can make it a month and come up with $200 3x over that month, I might come away with an autism assessment and specific recommendations for local-ish therapists and local-ish resources that could help hopefully maybe – I live in a rural area where resources are thin regardless, that's not going to fix the 5 terrible days, and I would need more money for a therapist on top of the $50/mo I'm barely doing now, or the $600 between me and getting the therapist recommendations how do I fix the 5 terrible days? if it even possible? I've tried to accept that maybe they won't ever go away, but it is a bit of a hard row to hoe and then how does one accumulate more income to afford extra shit while in this kinda state? 😂😭 we don't, do we never getting a pap or mammogram just circling the drain
