Baking powder releases carbon dioxide. Baking soda just creates aqueous bicarb ions and a more basic solution (which is the key to a faster reaction).

You could also do something like a cross between https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethylene_oxide and https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acetylene (the fuel responsible for the hottest welding flames) but remove the hydrogens and then have the carbons do a triple bond to make https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound/Epoxy-acetylene

Considering ethylene oxide is already so unstable as fuck though due to its strained structure that it's used as the main component in thermobaric weapons and this would be even more strained with a very unstable triple carbon bond, I don't know if that would be an improvement. This ring would also likely cause mega cancer when it's not exploding, pretty much all the https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epoxide rings cause cancer and this one is particularly unstable (though I don't really know if this one would because its not an alkening agent, which is why the other ones are so hostile, this one would be so reactive that it likely would immediately create some cancer causing compounds as soon as it met biological tissue).

Not that I know that is really possible to make. Chatgpt hallucinates a pathway and I never took organic chemistry so I can't really criticize it. Google doesn't really present with any answers. I'd imagine you'd need very low temperatures and an esoteric pathway.

So are you saying yes or no that changing the medium from a book to a movie, which completely alters how the work is consumed, is fair use transformative or not? Because it would be very informative to how far off the copyright test that the supreme court has handed down you are.

See https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogers_v._Koons for changes in media (photograph to sculpture) with alterations and https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_Warhol_Foundation_for_the_Visual_Arts,_Inc._v._Goldsmith for a more recent case where an upper body back and white photograph was cropped to only included a head, transformed to silk screen, and colored by hand if you want a clear idea here as to whether minor cropping and figure redrawing for engraving in a different medium is considered transformative(it is not).

Indian economics and laws regarding dairy produce their own sort of hell. If the unwanted non producing animals aren't smuggled across the border for slaughter, they're abandoned and left to starve due to laws about culling. Nobody's really feeding unproductive animals except for the goshalas and there's nowhere near enough of those for India's dairy cattle production.

Changing medium is not transformative if you're explicitly copying the subject matter of the original.

Edit: one thing that is funny is that there's a note in the picture of the article that they can't use a photo of the back of the watch for some watch review site because they don't have the rights from the AP. In that case, however, they're wrong because a picture of the back of the watch to make a point that the watch is similar to the original photograph is, hilariously, transformative. It, in conjunction with the article, has a completely different meaning than the original image and is fair use. If you used the image just to talk about the event or about Trump though, that would not be fair use because you're just using the image's composition in its entirety.

Which was settled out of court with a sharing of rights to the AP. And that image was more transformative than this. Cropping the subject of a photograph and engraving it on the back of a watch just conveys the subject matter of the photograph. It's a loser in court.

That's not transformative by a long shot. It adds no new meaning and is for commercial purposes which has a higher bar in the first place.

To be clear, asbestos is less reactive than plastic (particularly most thermoplastics) by a wide margin. One burns, the other will not. Asbestos is closer to glass. It requires incredibly high temperatures to turn it into glass as a matter of fact, as that's about the only way to dispose of it permanently.

Nuts. It's something that really needs an order (standing or otherwise) in their charts nowadays because it's considered invasive with a risk of vasovagal response which can lead to a code(for those with fragile cardiac status) and many RNs aren't even trained to do it safely (but let's be real, if you're not sticking your hand up there you're not going to cause a bowel perf). No shortage of lazy RNs in LTC though.

By definition it's an ulcer if it doesn't heal promptly, but that doesn't tell you the cause. Don't rub it with alcohol. You'd need to talk to a doctor to understand the etiology of it. Otherwise just clean it with sterile saline from the drug store and replace it's dressing(in this case a band aid) periodically. A small amount of soap and warm tap water is also sufficient generally for anything superficial (but not antibacterial soap as that will delay healing similar to alcohol). If it becomes infected, you need an antibiotic. If you don't figure out the cause from taking to a provider it could become bigger and worse. This is particularly true if you're diabetic, have venous insufficiency, or peripheral artery disease. Overall though, it looks good, with plenty of good pink tissue and no eschar or signs of inflammation.

As a CNA? Your RNs were lazy. They shouldn't allow CNAs to do digital disimpaction. In some places even RNs aren't allowed to do it, only providers.

Edit: looked it up and it gets so dumb that some MDs will consult surgery to do a digital disimpaction in teaching hospitals, lol.

    >A center-left group in the U.S. sees a valuable lesson in the landslide victory of Britain’s Labour Party after nearly 15 years in the political wilderness. >The centrist Democrat think tank Third Way argues in a memo obtained Friday by POLITICO that Labour’s sweeping win shows that “centrism wins elections” and can undercut right-wing populism by appealing to the broadest segment of the population with a credible platform.

Warping is throwing an anchor either manually for a small ship or by rowing the anchor out and dropping it farther away for a larger ship. Then the ship would reel it to change position. Good for maneuvering in harbor. Etymologically related to "throwing" and essentially threading a needle across the sea. Warp factor get you asses in the rowboat. Engage.

For the first time since Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party swept to power in 2014, the party did not secure a majority on its own in 2024 national election. But the prime minister’s coalition is still expected to run the country for another five years. Modi’s allies generally support pro-Hindu legislation, but making new policies could be complicated by coalition politics and a slimmer majority. Despite a setback, many of the Hindu nationalist policies he’s instituted over the last 10 years remain locked in place

President Biden told a Democratic lawmaker and members of his Cabinet after the State of the Union address that he told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that they will need to have a “come-to-Jesus meeting.” Biden’s comments, captured on a hot mic as he spoke with Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) on the floor of the House chamber, came after Bennet congratulated the commander in chief on his speech and pressed him to keep pressure on Netanyahu over increasing humanitarian issues in Gaza.
