Tbf, the Guy kept Nanni's letter of complaint intact in his home, he might've been kind of a troll. He might laugh at the idea that people millenias from then laugh at Nanni's frustration as he perhaps did himself. As to whether our perseption of himself would bother him... Well, he might be the worst copper trader we've ever heard off... But we've heard of him!

Not a fig wasp. In fact, the article for Apoica Pallens doesn't mention figs even once. It says that they're used in folk medecine in Brazil, but that's far from it being a popular food...

Some stuff like that's definitely happened to me. My dumbest defeat was after drinking a potion of levitation to get last dome disintegration traps, accidentally tapped he wrong part of the screen, thought I might still have enough fuel to make it to the chest and I'd use my pirit chain on the way back... But nope, I fell right on a trap and died. I had an ankh, but not a blessed one, so even tho I could make it back to that room's entrance I had no way to recover my bag.

Roaches can transmit diseases, they're an actual biohazard. This doesn't change that they're living animals, but this does mean killing them when they're invading a home is legitimate defense. You may shun someone who goes tiger-hunting, but if a tiger comes into town, threateningly approaches people and get shot, you'd think this was necessary, although regrettable. You might want to investigate the cause for the tiger's unusual town venture, maybe blame deforestation, but the one who ends up shooting is likely not the one to blame. Same for roaches. Yes, they're animals; and certainly fascinating ones in some regards, but if they start proliferating in our homes, bringing bacteria and molds everywhere... At some point it's us or them.

Shattered Pixel Dungeon is great, it's an open-source dungeon crawler. Neither adds, nor transactions, micro or otherwise. If you want to pay tho, there's a donation link for the dev team.

And if you still want too play GBA games, check check out the Lemuroid emulator, it's also open source and has no adds. Works for nintendoDS too.

You can find both of these on F-Droid. They're also be on Google Play, but since I've only tried the F-Droid version idk if the other has adds.

Personally, I don't. I get from your story that you seem to have been abusively banned, and from the comments that it doesn't seem like an isolate case. But while that might deter me from making an account there, or at most from having a community hosted there, it's not like anything bad comes to me from merely interacting with .ml content. The only servers worth blocking in my opinion are those full of spammers, or of content I'd personally hate to see in any situation.

If the 50% are homogeneously spread -and it's implied that it is-, then one may assume 50% per person also applies. Like how he didn't leave 50% of planets alone and purge the rest.

Sometimes, when a fruit or seed isn't toxic enough for our taste, we make it liquid then make it ferment or age until some of its sugar turns into the deliciously neurotoxic ethanol.

  • What's the term for someone that likes Jesus of Nazareth, but doesn't identify with church, religious dogma, or whatever?

Good question, but I guess it also goes down to what you think Jesus was. Do you think he was God Incarnate or had a divine nature? Do you think he was a prophet of God, but himself simply human? Or just a cool guy, but nothing divine? In the first case, you are a Christian, even if you don't identify with any of the well known versions of Christianity. After all, many different conceptions of Christianity have existed.

In the third case, I don't think there is or should be a term for it. After all, is there a word for someone who thinks Marcus Antoninus was a cool guy? If that's not something that constitutes an important part of who you are and how you think, why should you be called anything in regards to it? Maybe depending on just how much you like him, we might call you a Jesus fan. Jesus fanboy or fangirl at worst. But there needsn't be a specific word.

Now, the middle case, where you recognize Jesus as a prophet is an interesting one, because several religions would qualify, including Manichaeism, Islam and Druzism; and as far as I know there isn't a term that englobes them all without also including Judaism... If I were to invent a term for that, I might go with "jesuic" or "yeshuaic", by analogy with the word "abrahamic" that englobes those who recognize Abraham as a prophet.

Okay, but the question is how would DNA differ between a Sephardic Jew who was born in Valencia and someone born in Genova from one or both parents of Sephardic Jewish background? They don't just say he had Spanish and Jewish ancestry, they say he was born in Valencia, despite the previous most widespread theory that he was born in Genova. That's what intrigues me.

  • Hello! I recently moved, bringing both my laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad X131e running Debian) and my desctop (msi A320m pro motherboard, amd ryzen 5 cpu, running Arch). My desktop didn't have a wifi card (I'd removed it to add a graphic card, my mobo didn't fit them both), it uses ethernet, but it turns out my new place has wifi included, but no ethernet. I'll grab my wifi card where I left it in two weeks, but in the meantime I wanted to connect my computer to my laptop so I could still use it with internet sometimes. I followed this guide to accomplish it: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Internet_sharing Regarding the parts where there are several options: -For step 2.3.1 (Enable Nat) I used nftables, since that's what I had installed -For step 2.4 I chose to manually add an IP After that, the ethernet indicator at the bottom of my screen (I use i3) shows the address I added in green, so it should work... Alas, when I try updating or pinging any site, I get the "Temporary failure in name resolution" error. That is before I try to change anything about my dns conf. At the end, the wiki says "configure a dns server for each client". The client should already have a dns since I've been using it with ethernet. I tried manually setting the dns in mtui t see if that did something, but it just made the connection no longer work at all. So, what part might I be doing wrong? Thank you in advance if you have any advice, and thank you anyway for reading!

For context, the post I'm referring to is a map of Africa with subsaharia Africa in deep green, Sudan in light green and north Africa was white or some other color. The poster was claiming nothing had ever been invented in the green zone. My comment was gonna be this: [Antiseptics](https://aleteia.org/2019/02/27/the-fascinating-ugandan-c-sections-that-predated-modern-medicine) before Europeans. [Iron Smelting](https://africa.si.edu/exhibitions/current-exhibitions/striking-iron-the-art-of-african-blacksmiths/africas-iron-origins-archeological-evidence/) Not the first to discover it, but recent evidence show it was invented independently. [Sudano-Sahelian Architecture](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sudano-Sahelian_architecture&wprov=rarw1) [Some modern Archtecture](https://www.archdaily.com/tag/gando) taking inspiration from Sudano-Sahelian features such as a roof shape favoring natural ventilation. And since I just transitioned to recent inventions, there's the [Cardio Pad](https://itif.org/publications/2017/08/29/handheld-cardio-pad-tackling-cardiovascular-disease-africa-through/), invented in Cameroon, to help diagnose cardiovascular disease.

I know we now know they went extinct 66 million years ago, and 64 millions is another date I've seen around, but how long how we known it was definitely way more than 40 millions ? I'm asking because it's the date given in the the song "walk the dinosaurs" by Was (Not Was), and I wondered why such a number. Would it have seed credible at the time, or was it just arbitrary?

It was so bad Ever on and on, I continue circling With nothing but my hate in a carousel of agony 'Til slowly I forget and my heart starts vanishing And suddenly I see that I can't break free I'm slipping through the cracks of a dark eternity With nothing but my pain and the paralyzing agony To tell me who I am, who I was, uncertainty Enveloping my mind 'til I can't break free and Maybe it's a dream, maybe nothing else is real But it wouldn't mean a thing if I told you how I feel So I'm tired of all the pain, of the misery inside And I wish that I could live feeling nothing but the night You can tell me what to say, you can tell me where to go But I doubt that I would care, and my heart would never know If I make another move, there'll be no more turning back Because everything will change and it all will fade to black

I ascended for the second time ever, this time with freerunner. I had the seal shards and was aiming to get the "You made it too" achievement. I was surprised when I finished the game and didn't get it... Then I remembered I let a thief get away on my way back up without paying attention to what he'd stolen... Dude robbed me of my achievement.
