lmao what? no i definitely am not trying to upset folks. i don't even actually know how "doctors without borders have an incredibly important mission to humanity, and a shared goal of reducing suffering" is upsetting. in fact, despite the fact that i should know better, this thread has gotten me really upset because resisting collonialism is so important and what doctors without borders is so important, and now i'm finding out that the perception is that i just want to upset people?

i really mean this: i feel really disoriented, misunderstood, and hurt. i think i'm gonna go on a hiatus for a while because if this is what lemmy is gonna do to my mental space i don't want it in my life

Well. But the way the TMNT's legs poke out their shells before they get mutated heavily implies they're actually Teenage Mutant Ninja Tortoises. I think the mistake comes from that their crew was named by a rat who only ever read about ninjutsu. What the fuck does master splinter know about identifying the difference between a turtle and a tortoise?

I got 4 upvotes and 23 downvotes. I'm pretty sure it's pretty clear y'all have the prevailing worldview. Furthermore, I just… Don't know what it is? I just know you think I'm vapid, and I don't really know where I'm supposed to start digging into making myself better because I've received literally zero constructive feedback. Just a bunch of “Look at what a vapid idiot! Haha!”

    two options:

    1. power it from the trailer electric hookup
    2. spool it from a winch on the front

how is providing medical aid to people being tortured in our global system of suffering not

    1. anti-colonial
    2. the very most important thing anyone could be doing?

like i have criticisms about how they tend to attract white knight savior types, but russia making their operations harder is pretty clearly evil. i'm open to changing my stance that what they do is important, but i can't do that if all i get is downvotes and called vapid

i mean westerners. it's been very frustrating because it means i have to find out what's going on by seeking firsthand perspectives because journalistic fervor is guided by what will sell ads. my bet is sometime around october seventh people start tuning out again because the novelty will have worn off. i'd love to be wrong, but every single outrage decays as we mistake novelty for news

once something is determined woke by the grift, it can only be the focus as long as it is the right level of popular for anyone to listen to the scam. something to beloved or obscure won't achieve the desired outrage

exactly! every instance represents an imperfect vision of their admins perfect instance. the trick is finding or founding the instance that most closely reflects what you want to see and experience on the fediverse

it does say something though about what style of moderation you prefer and who you associate yourself with. that's why it's literally part of the identity you present. it's embedded in your username. it's like your fediverse last name.

your admins also run lemmygrad. only you can decide if you should leave. personally, i like beehaw, slrpnk, dbzero, and blahaj. one important aspect to understand about the fediverse is that your instance is part of the identity you present to others
