Does anybody know if it's possible for individuals to file complaints against Meta or other services that use pay or okay models? I know that some non-profits have successfully done it, but I wonder if people could do it to as a way to pressure regulators even more.

Yes, the nuance is that Facebook must offer an alternative that does not use personal data, even if it means losing some of the features compared to when you pay (either with money or authorizing them to sell your data).

An internal memo from the Prime Minister was leaked in which she asks cabinet members to stop using mainstream messaging apps and use Olvid (an app developped by a French startup) instead. She does not mention Signal specifically, but the implication is that other messaging apps have security flaws.
Meredith stresses that one may very well prefer one app to another based on different threat models, but that it is not fair to imply that an app is not secure without presenting proof.

It's all explained in the document, basically the telecom companies realized that people do not send SMS anymore and that the value of them lies now on the companies that need to send you verification texts and other automated messages, as a consequence, they inflated the cost of those to extract as much money as they can. The document also describes fraudsters that register numbers en masse to drive SMS traffic on a particular network and then make money of the fees.

The technical capability for instant SEPA transfers already exists (and has existed for a while), this is about making it free for everyone (some banks charge an extra fee for instant transfers).

Desgraciadamente en México la gente no acostumbra asegurar sus casas, ni siquiera cuando se encuentran en zonas expuestas desastres naturales. Un seguro no debe entenderse como una carga financiera, sino como un instrumento para proteger el patrimonio.
