Thanks for your comment. I feel like I'm on a island when I say the first was the only good one. Sure two had a few moments but the series is straight laughable. I was such a fan of the first one because of the fact the bullets ran out. I kept saying, "Why hasn't anyone made a movie like die hard where people get tired and every bullet is counted? The protagonist picks up the guns of the villains, etc." It's still over the top but it was really nice to see something like that and then they completely took everything I liked and reversed it. Long coreographed fight scenes bulletproof suits, cringe dialogue, traveling to different locations because it would "look cool" if there are mirrors, neon lights and smoke. I don't get the love.

The first one was OK. I had fun with the animation style and music, voice acting, etc. but I don't really understand the exercise here? People should just read the comic it would barely take as long and there is so much more information and context. Still so much better than the DC live action movies.

Vanilla ice in Cool as Ice...Am I suppose to like this guy? He seems like a complete jerk. Sly Stallone in Cobra is hilariously over the top trying to be cool. Joe Piscopo in Dead Heat. Diceman in The adventures of Ford fairlane. Love some Chuck Norris/ Steven Segal movies but they often make the characters less cool. Hallie Berry in a lot of movies: X-men as Storm (who is a f.ing goddess and awesome character!) Catwoman, John wick 3, die another day, etc. George Clooney in From Dusk till dawn. Cage in Drive Angry. Too many Video game / comic book movies to mention.

Pay attention. The game wouldn't always lead you to what you need to do. Some times you'll have to figure things out. There isn't just a marker on the map for what you need to do next. That messed me up because half the time I was following a marker but then there would be a line about giving someone an item or something in my inventory I missed. Ignore 100%ing every quest. Learn to parry and roll. Also, explore! I've run into very cool side quests! It feels really cool to just stumble into a story before a character even sends you out on the quest.

Usually ramp up the horror/spooky games about this time every year. Hades 2, Ghostwire Tokyo, Alan wake "American nightmare" dlc which is terrible so far. Resident Evil 2 remake.

Alien Isolation. This game really nails the original alien aesthetics. Not a perfect game but I'm happy it's a love letter to the original movie.

  • In honor of the start spooky season (yay!), I have a question about an apparently beloved spooky meme/skit. What about "David S. Pumpkins" is so funny?
  • flux flux 4w ago 100%

I'm going to say because it's short, stupid catchy. Sometimes your brain goes to random places and then logic sets in. Ignoring typical reason is what makes absurdist comedy work. We obviously have a character playing it straight trying to figure it out getting more and more upset by the illogical which makes the bit work. The music is silly and not eerie at all and then getting scared freeze frame when they continue to point out the character is not scary is the kicker and sort of makes it worth it. This was probably just a random skit they threw in last minute and thought, just have fun. A lot of hit songs are simple, obvious, stupid and catchy. Rick James thought Superfreak was a throw away song too dumb to be on the album and it's his most recognized song.

Some call it his best work and a pivotal move from the singer songwriter’s previous material before he leans into the cathartic carnival barker of bone machine and beyond. A loose concept album about "the urban dispossessed" of New York City, Rain Dogs is generally considered the middle album of a trilogy that includes Swordfishtrombones and Franks Wild Years.

Psychonauts was always one of those games I was meaning to play ever since it came out. I've played most of the double fine titles but I started it and it didn't instantly click so I put it down and never got back to it. The second one came out and I thought alright time to go for it. Wow! What a debut from double fine! Clever and fun mechanics, well defined characters, engaging story and actually laugh out loud moments! If you have kids the game dialogue is snappy like a Pixar movie. I made it to the tower and just can't wait to see what happens next. There are a few small things like camera angles or controls that can be a little frustrating after all it's almost a 20 year old game but if do yourself a favor and grab it for $2 on steam or Xbox store right now if you think you might like it. I've already got #2 in the queue. [steam](https://store.steampowered.com/app/3830/Psychonauts/) [Xbox](https://www.xbox.com/en-us/games/store/Psychonauts/C5HHPG1TXDNG)

It was released in 1992 and features a mix of electronica, ambient, and world music. The album was a critical and commercial success, reaching number 12 in the UK charts. The album's title is a reference to the cargo cult phenomenon, which is a belief that by imitating the actions of technologically advanced cultures, one can achieve similar results. Orbit has said that he was inspired by the cargo cult phenomenon, and he wanted to create an album that was a "cargo cult of electronica." The album features a variety of guest musicians, including Beth Orton, Divine Bashim, and Jah Wobble. The album also features a number of unusual instruments, such as the theremin, the sitar, and the kora. [discogs](https://www.discogs.com/master/91589-William-Orbit-Strange-Cargo-III)

Listen: https://songwhip.com/kate-bush/hounds-of-love-1985 Hounds of Love is the fifth studio album by English singer-songwriter Kate Bush, released on 16 September 1985 by EMI Records. It was a commercial success and marked a return to the public eye for Bush after the relatively low sales of her previous album, 1982's The Dreaming. The album's lead single, "Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)", became one of Bush's biggest hits, reaching number 3 in the UK upon release and later giving Bush her second number 1 UK single in June 2022. The album's first side produced three further singles, "Cloudbusting", "Hounds of Love", and "The Big Sky". The album was a critical and commercial success, and is considered one of Bush's best albums. It has been praised for its innovative production, Bush's vocal performances, and its exploration of themes such as love, loss, and the natural world. In 2011, Hounds of Love was ranked number 22 on Q magazine's list of the "50 Best Albums of the 1980s". In 2012, it was voted number 28 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time". The album is divided into two halves: the first side, "Hounds of Love", is a rock-oriented concept album about a woman who escapes from her suburban life and embarks on a journey of self-discovery. The second side, "The Ninth Wave", is a more atmospheric and experimental piece that tells the story of a woman who is shipwrecked and stranded at sea. Hounds of Love is a highly ambitious and eclectic album that showcases Bush's wide range of musical and artistic talents. It is a landmark album in her career and one of the most important albums of the 1980s. Side one: Hounds of Love 1. "Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)" 5:03 2. "Hounds of Love" 3:02 3.
