So I cannot even read the article because the site has aggressive popups, unlabeled elements, and something repeatedly resetting my focus to the top.

Wouldn't the loss of retina function also have a reduction in color vision which would result in a loss of clarity of certain color wavelengths so eg you'd go from seeing a 32 color crayola spectrM to a 24, then 16, etc resulting in an increase in percieved contrast? Just spitballing here.

Just thought I’d see how you all are doing, need to get some activity here or us mods will have nothing to do besides our normal real life shit and we don’t want that now do we?

So first there are some mods who do not want to leave, and are going to do their best to keep it operating, but the bigger thing is reddit will not let us do that, they are forcibly taking control of subs that are doing things like going nsfw, private, or restricted by removing the mod team and placing their own.

  • So just for the hell of it, in order, · Cane, Dog, None, or Other? · Preferred Mobile and Computer OS and Screen Readers? · Braille or Not and for what if yes? I’ll start, cane, android and windows, talkback and NVDA, yes I use braille screen input, or a braille display for almost everything text entry wise and for checking spelling, along with some reading though not as much as I could.

As the title says. I’m not doing bad, this seems like it may finally be stable-ish. I’m typing this with my braille display because I can actually use it on this platform unlike on reddit which is nice.

As the title says this is actually usable with a display without bullshit fighting with the screen reader navigation for twice as long as writing the post takes.

I’m just baffled as to why it's an issue on Opera and the like which are chromium based like Chrome and Edge, I get it on Firefox as that's a different architecture so makes sense it might have some different issues from those others.

Will also add on android devices you cannot log in with talkback running on Firefox, Opera, or Duck Duck Go browsers as the login button will not activate. I have to test this again on Brave, but I know this is not an issue on Chrome or Edge.

So apparently I need to select main from under the sidebar before going to menu and create post to get it to select a community to post to….
