This feels like culling the herd with extra steps. Like... Someone smart was like... Hey, we need to get rid of dumb people. How do we do that? Oh, I know... Make a place where the dumb people really want to go by relaxing laws that protect people from being dumb. Then, we'll make the dummies believe they're the smart and patriotic ones for moving there. When they all wind up in this insane distopia, let's just... Infect them with measles and tell them it's fine! As long as Facebook and a bunch of weirdo authority figures reinforce their dumb feelings of being smart, in the end, we won't even need a genocidal dictator or gas chambers! The dummies will do the job for us!

    I mean... it's just a thought. That's not really what's happening...

    ... Right?

I can almost get it, when I watch the state and federal government take 30 percent or more of the money I earned, so they can give it to clowns like Trump and a Biden to do stupid shit that I don't agree with. And don't give me any, "be the change you want to see!", bullshit either. The fact of the matter is, if you've got the millions, you can do what you want, pay the fine, bribe the officials to look the other way, and generally be left the fuck alone. If you don't, and you've never been given the tools and/or opportunity to get out from under living paycheck to paycheck to survive, it's easy to understand the mental gymnastics necessary to believe in this shit. It's ignorant speak for, "leave me the fuck alone". Let me be clear that I fully understand and agree with the idea that this idiot wants to steal from a utility company... I'm just saying, if you don't have the ability, resources, or education to find a place where you can live "off the grid", looking for magical solutions isn't hard to understand.

Shit, Disney trained me to believe that all I need to do is wish upon a star...

    Fucking stupid cricket.

I stand corrected. "Poisoning" his search results with videos making him look stupid is probably one of the best ideas I've heard. Thanks for the education!

Anyone have any online cooking resources they've used that will take you from absolute beginner to reasonably proficient?

I have always hated cooking, but I have come to realize how much this hole in my skill tree affects my health and bank account. Can you recommend any online courses, guides, or other step by step beginner-to-proficient cooking resources you've used that have helped you overcome your same lack?

...and I think I like it. I farked, then Digg'd, then I found Reddit during day one of the great migration. I get why reddit, and Spez, (the wanker), are doing what they're doing, but I don't like it. This feels like it has a chance of being the thing I always wanted Reddit to be, though. If I'm understanding all of this correctly, then it definitely has potential to be the spiritual successor to Reddit. That's it, really. Just wanted to see if I could figure out how to post something. I'm excited to play with new applications with new ideas driving them. This could be cool.
