I have this admin & art account that I use rarely, and one casual 😅
You should ask her to post her work here, it's always nice to see other people's work, share and discuss techniques!

This is incredible!
American sites like this so rarely ship to France, or it costs a litteral fortune just in shipping, here it's 130€ for a 12TB shipping included!
Wow.

Finnish landscape painter.
The title is in swedish and somewhat translates to evening atmosphere.
Nice find, I didn't know about him and the painting is wonderful.

Got approached by njb and asked if I wanted to do a painting for his email listing which is a free online newsletter about pinball and retro arcade gaming. Well that sounded like fun, and here it is! I'm plugging a link here to the actual site : https://nantucketebooks.com/ebooks/quarterup/ It was lots of fun !

Just do it every day, and i a couple of months you'll get an itch if you are not doing it :-)
Great for listening in on boring meetings too if you have to.

True, but it seems a magnitude is just around 8 years, so eventually we'll get there.

Is there online tests or something similar to see if you are possibly on the spectrum as they say ?
You seems to know what you are talking about and I always feel like well yes of course that's how life is.

OMG I'm an idiot. Thank you!
Oil on paper. Trying a lose style, don't look too close :-) You can check out the intermediate steps on my revived (but resetted ðŸ˜) lemmy server here lemmy.mindoki.com/c/aip
I tried using more dull colors because I used colors for the outline instead of black. The result is, curious I'd say. I don't like it that much but of the up side, in my opinion, it somehow got the looks of an old The Far Side comics. What do you think?
Found a really old dip pen with a fully functional nib (!) so I figured I'd try it out when inking my next aquarelle. A bit complicated but I like it! Works super well with both regular ink and aquarelle inks 💖.
Step 2, make the sketch on quality paper.
The starting point, a basic sketch.
Trying "loose" style, don't look too close!
Charcoal sketch on gesso primed simple student paper pad.
Hello all! Can you mount any folder a docker image is running in? So for example, if I have a python script creating a file "./hello.txt", it would be written in the folder where I launch "docker-compose up" ? I have figured out how to write the hello.txt to a subfolder like /data/ (by mapping an image-local folder to /data/), but I'd like to use like ./ for the image itself instead. So that the folder I'm launching the docker-compose in on my PC is mapped to ./ in the image, if that makes more sense. So this works (in the compose.yml): volumes: - ./:/data but the script must write to "./data/hello.txt" This doesn't work: volumes: - ./:./ It pops an error: mount path must be absolute Any idea if this is even possible? Cheers and thanks !
Hello all ! I lost my fiber connection (they promptly replaced the malfunctioning part but forgot to plug my fiber back in, so Thursday to Monday the server was down) and with it a lot of federation. I have tried, to no avail, unsubbing, resubbing, refreshing but European Graphic Novels stays on a post made 6 days ago ... So maybe posting here will jolt it into life! PS. I just say this instance is running on 0.19.1 which had some federation problems. Edit: looks like it did it, yay!
Inspired by 1970-1980 european comics
It *does* look better in real, I guess I don't know how to scan images anymore :-)
