¿Por qué no los dos?
I'm sure they had a hand in accelerating the whole collapse.

Wow, incredible! I'm excited to see what I can see when it gets full dark!
edit: couldn't see anything in western Washington, and it wasn't even cloudy! :(

I guess a prison? Or maybe a penal colony.
It sort of was.
Before and during World War II, Hashima, like many industrial sites in Japan, was a location for forced labor.
Korean and Chinese prisoners of war were kept here, enduring varying degrees of hardship.

Love these arial shots! There's a load of pictures people have uploaded to Google Maps, and there's even "street" view throughout the island. Pretty incredible stuff.

Very disappointing. Guess I'll buy it when it's released DRM free.

One of my favorite albums of theirs. They performed Inner Cell/Loyalty/Horology when I saw them last month, what a show that was!

Whenever I see the media being silenced like this, I'm always reminded of a Tyrion Lannister quote from A Clash of Kings:
“When you tear out a man’s tongue, you are not proving him a liar, you’re only telling the world that you fear what he might say.”
Taken ~15 minutes after sunrise, across the Columbia River from Vantage, Washington, with a Pixel 8 Pro.

Not quite like the albums you mentioned, but here's some stuff that all incorporates some classical instruments with modern rock instruments
- Laideronnette or zatracenie by matryoshka - maybe the most like what you mentioned, ambient-ish with strings and piano
- イリヤ (- il y a -) by 夢中夢 (mutyumu) - maybe a bit avant-garde, but makes heavy use of strings and piano
- Enjoy Eternal Bliss by Yndi Halda - post-rock with strings
- ONDA by JAMBINAI - Korean post-rock that mixes traditional Korean instruments with modern rock instruments

The irony of you trying to be contrarian is that Tacoma is still derived from the native name. Good luck finding a coloniser name for our city.

Thank you! The telephoto lens (and camera in general) is like, 90% of why I bought this phone.

Ty for the kind words. Maybe you'll like this one better. :)
Shot on a Pixel 8 Pro, telephoto lens. Tahoma is more commonly known by the coloniser name of [Mount Rainier](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Rainier).
I just saw that [lemmy.ml](https://slrpnk.net/post/676938) has pre-emptively defederated from threads. Are there any plans to do that here? I personally want nothing to do with Meta/Facebook, and I'm sure that's not an unpopular opinion around here. edit: y'all, please pay attention to where you are when coming from all. edit again: kbin really ought to make a post's home instance more clear.
