Everybody fucking knows he's just an obnoxious troll.

I'm not property of the government, why should the government suspend my rights to "protect" me from myself?

Lmao not my fault you deserved it 🤷

Because the app I use lets me see what they said through removal, and I found it extremely funny that the guy is apparently banned from the home depot website or something

Sorry, I misread your earlier comment as you saying she supported ending those programs. As such, I retract my acknowledgement that she's right about anything, and return to my original stance of full condemnation.

Genuinely, how does this guy constantly spam this brazenly uncivil and dishonest crap, and you guys never do anything about him, but you throw bans at conservatives at the drop of a hat?

Fucking as if. Her type will always find new shit to cry about. Just because she accidentally stumbled into a good idea once it doesn't mean she deserves respect

She's free to say whatever she likes, and the university is free to keep slime like her on. And similarly, I'm free to judge them based on their own speech.

If I went and used my position as a federal employee to sling this type of political shit, I'd be out a job. It's not exactly like the university is in the dark about what this teacher is doing.

So it should just be ignored that leftists are using universities to push their garbage?
BottomTierJannie 7mo ago • 44%
To be fair, though, I'm not sure why media generally insists on presenting academic viewpoints like this
Because they are fundamentally social topics that impact your average Joe. To just let a bunch of quacks leverage institutions to push their crap is how we let things go worse.

Good. All gun control should be abolished.

A large amount of the community here came over from the shitshow that was the .world community where the admins were a bunch of reddit admins wannabes who just banned people for not being leftist, and at that time, the sh.itjust.works community was entirely umoderated, which caused all the activity to dry up because nobody liked dealing with the perpetual trolls that just harassed everyone there.

We'll start at the beginning: So, there are absolutely no circumstances when the government can do anything to promote the public’s interest in health and safety through factual information? None at all? Zero?
As I said, the government is free to push its own narrative through its own channels. If some government organization wants to spend their time spamming tweets, they're free to do so. They can use their own websites, call for press conferences, that type of stuff.

You're talking about the content of what the government is asking. I'm asking about the act of asking itself, as was Justice Jackson
Yes. The act of asking is itself the problem. Justices should not be asking questions of whether or not we should discard the constitution just because it makes her political masters have a hard time enacting their garbage.

Like I give a fuck. The purpose of government isn't to make people happy, it's to uphold their rights.
I have the old .jar and .json files, and I've tried using them both in multimc as well as the standard launcher, and neither detects them as valid installs. Most of the stuff I see online is either wildly outdated or full of dead links. Any help?
It's great that the app handles the regular urls natively, better so than browsing on the default website, but could we get support for the community links. In case I'm not using the correct terminology, what I mean is that, for example, lemmy.world/c/boostforlemmy works, but !boostforlemmy@lemmy.world doesn't work
Basically the title. I don't like that posts are hidden when I report them, since I can't find them back afterwards.
while i can see good intent behind this, it definitely seems like a significant overreach, and not particularly helpful for actually solving real issues.
Regardless of your stance on the current conflict, I hope we can all agree that the degree to which it's bleeding over into the US and causing violence is highly troubling.
[Or more like under new management](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLDfrZuh5XI). After a while of being dead due to the only moderation here being overburdened instance admins, leading to the handful of people contributing here giving up, we can rejoice as now we've moved on to the *next* worst option for moderation, Me! I hope to make this a community where we can have decent discussions, centered around the political right, in a manner that's hopefully less brain melting than the typical front page content here or back on reddit. But what does this mean for you, the person still reading this train wreck of a post? well, thanks for hypothetically asking. It really helped move this post along. The short of it is, there are going to be rules now. like it or not, thems the shakes. so then what are these rules, you conveniently ask in order to make this bit keep on going past its expiration date? well, first off, we gotta follow the instance rules. They pay the bills that keep these 1s and 0s flowing to your screen, so we have to listen to what they say. For those of you browsing from somewhere inconvenient to check the sidebar here, the rules are pasted below: -Be respectful. Everyone should feel welcome here. -No bigotry - including racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, or xenophobia. -No Ads / Spamming. -No pornography. Beyond that, I aim to run things on a system closer to a bro code than a hard and fast set of rules. >I hope to make this a community where we can have decent discussions, centered around the political right To that end, the number one thing I want to enforce is good faith. if you're unsure, take a moment before posting that comment, and ask yourself, what kind of response would you want someone who disagrees with you have to it. if the answer isn't "they can express why they believe otherwise" there's a good chance that you're on the wrong track. beyond that, try and keep things on topic. that should be obvious, but it merits saying. it should be at least somewhat apparent why you've chosen to post here. if not, I may ask you to either post elsewhere, or edit such that the tie is more clear. nobody here is a mind reader (yet). what may be obvious to you is going to require scooby and the gang to unmask it for someone else. and that's really all i have to say for now. if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
