GRUPO SAMBA DE COCO RAÍZES DE ARCOVERDE Formed in 1992 by Lula Calixto and the Gomes and Lopes sisters, the group became known to the public in 1996, when it broke the barriers of the small town of Arco Verde, in Pernambuco, and performed throughout Brazil in countries such as Germany, Belgium, Italy, Norway and France. A dance of indigenous culture with black culture, the Samba de Coco Raízes de Arcoverde has been blooming the stages of the world with its Godê Pavão skirts. Her singing portrays the poetry of the northeastern hinterland rocked by the coco troupe.
