Dragon’s Dogma 2 really clicked with me because you need to constantly be on your toes. There are moments of downtime when you can just enjoy the vista or pose with a random Ogre you’ve defeated. But more often than not I was organically finding combat encounters and secrets that I wanted to investigate more. And that amazing loop was consistent as I made my journey back.

Here's the latest Dragon's Dogma 2 trailer, which puts a spotlight on the Sorcerer vocation. The Dragon's Dogma 2 Sorcerer uses their magick spells to take down opponents. Magick is conjured with both hands and channelled through a large staff, changing the tide of battle at a moment's notice. However, it's important for the Sorcerer to keep their distance and cast spells from a safe place to avoid taking damage. I'm super excited about Dragon's Dogma 2, but because many games these days launch not living up to what was promised or with performance issues, and the fact that games seem to be getting more and more expensive, I'm a bit wary of getting a big game at full price at launch. However, I'm considering reading the reviews and then getting it ASAP with this game. And trying it for the 2 hours on Steam so I can at least refund it if there are any problems with the game. The gameplay videos they released so far look pretty good. I think I'm mostly worried about performance issues. What are you planning to do? Are you going to (or did you already) preorder the game or wait for (player) reviews? Edit: I want to clarify that I'm not planning on preordering the game, as for me there's no point in preordering digital stuff anyway.
I have been replaying it. It's still is a lot of fun. My pawn gets rented so others must be playing too. I have not gotten to the UR-Dragon yet. I assume the online UR-Dragon is still going.
Some gamers are upset that this is only one save file per account. I'm sure this is done because of the very unique Pawn system. One pawn per account is uploaded to the pawn server. Pawns are very complicated. They learn about monsters, quests, and bring back items for us. I don't have any issue with this. In the first Dragon's Dogma you can change vocations and the way your character looks anytime you want--same for our pawn. The game also repeats. And if you really really want to have more than one character, you could back up the current save file and start a new game.
Rumours are spreading that Dragon's Dogma 2 is capped at 30fps on console. But so far, there's no proof of this.
