Anime Suggest

Before you say anything: I know. Clannad After Story is a direct sequel, but I want to watch Kyou-hen, Tomoyo-hen and maybe the movie as well, my question is: Would it be better to experience any of these before heading to After Story?

Preferably with a femaie protag falling for a male. Any good suggestions?

Hello AniSocial! As the title suggests, I am in search of a lighthearted anime. It could feature slapstick humour or romance, or something else entirely. For reference, here's my [AniList](https://anilist.co/user/ronu/animelist), which lists all of the anime I have already watched. I appreciate your assistance in finding a new anime to watch.

Given Spice and Wolf is getting a remake in 2024 (after 15 years of being dormant!), I feel like now's a good time to suggest watching Spice and Wolf. It's honestly the thing that kept me watching anime while growing up - it showed me anime wasn't just for children (looking at you Pokémon) or always cringe (looking at you, classmates Naruto running at school.) It's a bit of a romcom set in medieval European-like area about a traveling merchant Lawrence and the wolf goddess Holo, simply traveling north to see Holo's homeland. Both the dub and sub are fantastic, the story is lighthearted, and the music varies from "perfectly fitting" to low-key bop. While I personally think the original is very pretty to look at, the [PV trailer ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuWQOwwI9z4) of whatever Passione has cooking also looks gorgeous. Hope you give my favorite a shot!
